The Chinese Language Teachers Association -- Educational Technology Special Interest Group (CLTA-EdTech SIG)
The CLTA-EdTech SIG provides a platform to promote and support educational technology in CSL/CFL through advocacy, networking, articulation, and the sharing of research findings as well as pedagogical teaching practices. This SIG will contribute to connecting Chinese researchers with teachers to provide teacher training in tech-enhanced CFL teaching. Members will brainstorm research and teaching ideas, share latest findings, discuss common challenges and collaboratively seek for solutions. Through transferring excellent research in teaching other languages, it will benefit CL researchers to explore new methods and research that are applicable to Chinese L2 classrooms. By developing a web forum for researchers and teachers, CLTA members can learn about first-hand information regarding the latest technology and technology enhanced teaching practices to enhance/support their teaching as well as improve their research through web collaboration.
